I Predict A Riot
Jamie Fredricks
Most people like it when things are calm, ordered, certain, well behaved and when everyone is on the same page. However, the Bible gives us plenty of examples of when that is anything but the case. To be an inclusive church, a welcoming people who are real about the challenges and mess of life will not always be comfortable. In this talk, Jamie explores some key passages that help to frame our expectations as a messy, struggling, learning, growing, beautiful kingdom people.

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Nick Drury
Seasons come and seasons go - that’s life! In between these times we go through a process of transition before we begin a new thing, where we are neither here nor there. Nick uses the story of the Israelites in the wilderness to explore how this space in between is actually the time where we learn most about ourselves and God, where the journey itself is more important than the destination.

Jump!
Jamie Fredricks
The parable of the Bags of Gold can be read just as another voice telling us to try harder and do more. But as Jamie explores there's much better good news here, about an extravagant, joyful master, who wants to share his happiness and encourage all of us to jump in!

Two Tribes?
Jamie Fredricks
Togetherness is one of the great strengths that humanity can draw upon... but it can also breed tribalism and hatred. Jamie explores how we are called to resist rebuilding the 'dividing walls of hostility', to be cautious of superficial labels and instead to live as humble followers of Jesus, salt and light in the world.

What's the Story?
Jamie Fredricks
In our Resurrection Sunday message, Jamie kicks off a new series exploring Church, Community and New Creation. For Resurrection to happen, something needs to die - maybe physically, but often spiritually, emotionally, relationally or in our thoughts and attitudes. The parable of the two sons suggests that there are toxic stories about ourselves and God that we need to let go of.

Donkeys, Palms and Power Plays
Nick Drury
The Palm Sunday story that kick-starts Holy Week is known to many of us. Nick uses some of the 1st Century context to help us reflect on the age-old tricky question ’should church and politics mix?’. We explore how the original meaning of politics as a 'desire for our common good' needs to be rediscovered in order to help bring about God’s Kingdom.

Generous Hearts
Richard Starling
Kindness and grace given away freely are powerfully good. Richard explores "Generosity" in response to God's blessings, looking at Mary who anointed Jesus with extravagantly expensive perfume because of her gratitude and love. Paul also wrote about the importance of cheerfulness and joy in our gifts, not falling into a grudging mindset. What a wonderfully improved world it would be if we act generously with our time, our resources, and our love.

The Final Word?
Jamie Fredricks
The book of Lamentations is written from a place of devastation and suffering, but still maintains a strand of hope and faith. Even when we have helped contribute to our own problems, we do not need to be defined by those things. God chooses to speak a new word of life, mercy and new creation.

Look: Witness and Protest
Jamie Fredricks
In the book of Lamentations there is a heart-cry from the depths of suffering, for God and human beings to 'look', to see what is going on. We have a crucial role to play in both 'witnessing' and 'protesting' the pain of the world, and also in announcing and enacting hope and healing.

The Art of the Lament
Jamie Fredricks
To mark the start of the season of Lent, we're kicking off a new series 'As Deep as the Sea' - a series of reflections based in the book of Lamentations. Jamie explores the idea that we need to recapture the art of lamenting in order to be spiritually healthy.
